Privacy policy.

Effective from 24/09/2026. This page explains what personal information Roberts Media collects, why, and what you can do about it.

1. Who I am

Roberts Media is the data controller for your personal information, which means I decide what happens to it. Contact: Hello@RobertsMedia.uk.

2. What I collect

If you enquire or book: your name, email address, and the details you give me about your event - date, venue, event type and your message. Our email correspondence after that. Payment references, so incoming payments can be matched to the right booking. I never see or store your card details; if you choose to pay by card, the payment provider handles those. If you consent to portfolio use: the photos from your event.

3. Why I use it

To answer enquiries and confirm bookings - that's the contract between us. To deliver your photos. To keep records for tax and accounting, because the law requires it. To ask about portfolio use - only ever on the basis of your separate, optional consent. I don't send marketing emails, and I don't sell your information to anyone.

4. Who sees it

A short, fixed list: Squarespace, which hosts this website and its forms; Google, for the analytics described in the cookies section below; my bank, for payments; the specialist gallery provider that hosts your photos - you'll be told which one when your gallery is delivered; and HMRC, where the law requires it. Nobody else, and nothing is shared for anyone else's marketing.

5. How long I keep it

I keep personal information only as long as there is a reason to. Enquiries that don't become bookings are kept in my email records and deleted when no longer needed. Booking records, invoices and accounting records are kept, as tax and contract law require. Delivered photos are kept as part of my professional archive.

6. Your rights

You can ask to see your data, have it corrected, deleted, restricted, or sent elsewhere, and you can object to how it's used. You can withdraw portfolio consent at any time, before or after the event. For any of this, email Hello@RobertsMedia.uk.

7. Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies. Essential cookies keep the site working. Google Analytics cookies help me understand how the site is used and whether adverts lead to enquiries - you can control or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Personalised advertising cookies are different: they're only ever set after you agree to them, through a cookie banner on this site, which will appear before any personalised advertising begins. You can read how Google handles data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

8. Where your data lives

Your information is processed in the UK. Where a service I use - such as Squarespace or Google - processes data outside the UK, it does so under the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

9. Photos of children

Events often include children. Where a photo clearly shows a child, it only appears in my portfolio with a parent's explicit consent, given separately. The age of every attendee at an event is unverifiable - if you or your child would rather not appear in my portfolio, email Hello@Robertsmedia.uk and the photo is removed, no questions asked.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the current version always lives on this page. Questions about any of it: Hello@RobertsMedia.uk.
